Singapore is hosting Asia’s Inaugural Men’s Fashion Week. How amazing would that be.
I went to their press conference last Friday at ION Sky Bar, and the first sighting when I step my feet on the Level 55 of Ion Orchard was this.
The venue was converted into this backstage, with models in every corner, chatting to each other, make up station as well as racks of their allocated wardrobe.
Men’s Fashion Week will debut in Singapore from 30 March to 3 April 2011. Labels that will showcase their collection include Etro, Zegna and Canali. Asian labels like Shanghai Tang of Hong Kong DressCamp of Japan are also scheduled to present their fall-winter 2011 collection.
While the menswear market is still considerably smaller than women’s, it is growing at a much faster pace, especially in Asia.
Don't miss your chance to see Philip Huang walk down the runway live. I'm talking about the tickets to the show that will be sold for public to purchase, priced around $40.
Finally, Utt - the Voice and Julian Hee, the Heart of MFW Singapore.
