Valiant

Photobucket

I finally wear the turban. I was always contemplating will it or will it not work. It's not something I'd wear often, but I like it. I have in mind that my next experiment will be to pair a satin emerald color turban with an elegant, floor-length black dress. Soon.

I've had this top for so long. It's tailored and it is one of the key investment pieces in my wardrobe. You can wear it with almost everything.

The battered Kelly

Do you baby your bag or do you trash and scatter your bag like her?

Photobucket

This bag may have been ran over by a truck, splashed with mud, what else can you think of? It's interesting however, to see her carry it all the time, casually, or to formal events.

Amazing isn't it. I personally don't baby my bags. I'm more of a user. I've never even used leather sprays or anything like that. I don't condition them regularly, and don't store them in their dustbags and stuffed with tissue. But I don't abuse my bags. When I think of someone abusing their bags. I think of them throwing them around, not caring if something spills on it, whatsoever. But then again I don't feel like I have to scrub my bag every night.

Tom Ford

This afternoon I spent nearly three hours reading about this man. I adore him, well who doesn't. He is amazing, his interviews are always delightful and memorable. He's just the perfect epitome of a modern gentleman, as they say.

"When I was a little kid, all I wanted to do was to escape what I thought was the country and get to a city. Probably film and television had influenced me so much, I really thought the key to happiness was living a very artificial life in a penthouse in New York with martini glasses." [Interview Magazine]

"Manners are very important and actually knowing when things are appropriate. I always open doors for women, I carry their coat, I make sure that they’re walking on the inside of the street. Stand up when people arrive at and leave the dinner table." [AnOther Magazine]

"And I’m one of the least materialistic people that exist, because material possessions don’t mean much to me. They’re beautiful, I enjoy them, they can enhance your life to a certain degree, but they’re ultimately not important. Your connections with other people are important, our connection to the earth. And that’s why I go to New Mexico as often as I can. And what I find to be the most beautiful thing in the world now is nature—sunsets, trees, my horses."

At last, maybe you've read this, maybe you haven't. Well maybe you want to read it again, Tom Ford and Richard Buckley Forever.

Olivia Palermo

Everytime I see cat-eye sunglasses I remember her and Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast in Tiffany's. Sunglasses are my wardrobe essentials. Since I was a kid I have this tendency to squint a lot. I automatically turn my head away from the light. As I grow up, I become hooked to the different styles of sunglasses available, whatever is in trend, the classic Raybans and whatever fits my face beautifully. Another reason is that they are never tired to cover up my perpetually exhausted eyes. Oversized sunglasses are genius investments. And when all else fails, reach for them to look instantly, without doubt, like Posh.

Here's another thing. Look how she can manage to pull off such fashionably unique everyday look from clothes that genuinely don't go with each other. Look at her dress, and that cardigan. From the pattern, to the color and the shapes, who in the world would end up putting them together like this? Hands up if you agree with me that her ability to do this deserves a reward.

Glamorama

This post is dedicated to Gemma Ward. I've seen this before and thought who wouldn't love to see this trio on a beautiful Sunday afternoon? I was so happy to see her yesterday, as a very enchanting mermaid on Pirates of the Carribean. I just love her doll face. When I was younger, buying Vogue actually seemed exciting and editorials like this were so fun and beautiful.

I still don't get why Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez regret the name of their company. To me, it speaks luxury, extremeness, class, just mere perfection.

They mixed their signature structured garments with pixelated patterns very brilliantly. As always, they never fail to create the most impeccably executed pieces. Oh look at those pants. Here's a shout out to a fellow Proenza obsessed, Viranlly.

This is flawless. Seriously how can he remain so underrated. I love the series of the nude colored dresses here, the draping and the tailoring. Every piece is very clean, neat and elegant. My favorites are the white dresses. I used to hope his designs will get more wear on the carpet soon, because it's super beautiful. That was until Cheryl Cole stunned everyone in a piece from this collection during Cannes Film Festival.

And the rest of the collection.
