Lana Del Rey celebrates Mulberry Singapore

English luxury brand Mulberry celebrated the opening of its first Asian flagship store in Singapore with a private dinner and cocktail event including a live performance from singer Lana Del Rey, the inspiration behind the Del Rey bag.







The store was officially opened by Mulberry CEO Bruno Guillon, Creative Director Emma Hill and Lana Del Rey. A little piece of Britain came to Singapore with Mulberry for the launch, ‘Queen’s guards’ stood either side of the store entrance in sentry boxes and bagpipes were played as the ribbon was cut!

Guests including Lana Del Rey, pictured below carrying a Del Rey in Ink Blue Croc Print from the Autumn Winter 2012 Collection, Joanne Peh, Marisa Wee, Tracy Phillips and Arissa Cheo, enjoyed cocktails in the new store, which was designed to reflect Mulberry’s dedication to craftsmanship and is underpinned by the notion of contrast and duality, influenced by the themes of Englishness and craft.

Kristen Stewart in Louis Vuitton Spring '13

Kristen Stewart hits the red carpet in Louis Vuitton's monochrome checkered playsuit from Spring Summer 2013 collection, for the premiere of "Twilight : Breaking Dawn Part 2" yesterday October 24th, in Tokyo, Japan.







Sporting her signature messy side swept hair and dark smoky eyes, K-Stew rocked the casual chic look with a pair of Brian Atwood Fall 2012 'Sable', strappy dark brown sandals. Definitely one of her most memorable looks on the red carpet. As to what might be next up in her Breaking Dawn premier wardrobe, I guess it'll be Balenciaga. What do you think?

Guests at Margiela X H&M in NYC

Julianne Moore, Sarah Jessica Parker, Mena Suvari, Kanye West (minus Kim Kardashian), Helena Christensen, Selma Blair, Alan Cumming and Chace Crawford were among the guests at a party last night in New York to celebrate H&M’s collaboration with Maison Martin Margiela. The unique event was held across many floors of 5 Beekman Street, a historical building in the city’s financial district.





No one does a fashion collaboration quite like H&M and the brand’s latest endeavor, a pitch perfect pairup with Maison Martin Margiela ranks among the most unexpected mashups ever. After Versace and Marni which are far more "mainstream", I guess MMM in essence, is never for everyone.





Guests were able to discover the collection in dance performances by noted choreographer Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker and through specially commissioned art installations, before DJ’s kept the party going into the early hours.



This is my favorite look. I want to get everything Mena's wearing from the bra shirt to the candy clutch to the transparent wedge beige pumps.









The Maison Martin Margiela with H&M collection will be launched on November 15th in around 230 H&M stores worldwide. I can't wait!

Inherent Radiance

It's the third edition of Blackberry Style. I came up with this pop-futuristic, eye-catching and full of personality to bring to life the essence of the BlackBerry Torch 9860.





Wearing this H&M neon rhinestone necklace again and again, Poise24 Cropped Satin Top in turquoise and paired it with a Floral Pencil Skirt.



As pictured above, a spectacular 3.7" touch screen is the largest on a BlackBerry® smartphone yet. It boasts millions of colors for a stunning viewing experience, and provides a smooth, accurate and fast typing experience.

Win a limited edition Mulberry Del Rey

English luxury brand Mulberry recently opened its first Asian flagship store just last week, located at Mandarin Gallery, in Singapore’s renowned shopping district along Orchard Road.

The two-storey 3983 square foot store has been designed to reflect Mulberry’s dedication to craftsmanship and a sense of natural tactility, with limestone-tiled floors, curved timber follies and brass accents. The concept, designed by innovative British architects Universal Design Studio, is underpinned by the notion of contrast and duality, and manifested across of a series of open, informal spaces juxtaposed with smaller, intimate environments. The Singapore flagship store will stock the full collection of core and seasonal accessories, as well as womenswear and shoes.

I received a runway edition Del Rey a while ago, in the most amazing large metallic snake print. This bespoke leather has been created with an embossed anaconda print which is then hand-cut to produce the scale texture. An iridescent metallic foil is then applied to the surface to give the finished effect. I love this bag to death. It goes amazingly well with everything. It's spacious, light, stylish and ultra-luxe. See how it gleams when the sunlight hits its surface.



I mean, look at these two very different styling I did for the shoot. First is a more modern-edgy look which features a pair of wide legged mirror-print trousers from Mango and another is a rather feminine, power-suit feel.

Anyway, I love how these photo turn out. Taken at Marina Bay Sands, it's hands down the most beautiful, iconic spot in Singapore.

Egyptofunk: Balenciaga streetstyle edition

Just like Givenchy Rottweiler and Birds of Paradise tees, Balenciaga Fall 2012 diving top is seen everywhere during the recent fashion week.













Clearly Nicholas Ghesquire's mission on bringing back the 80's sci-fi geek attire in a Balenciaga chic way is quite a hit, seeing from the positive signs shown by the fashion universe. For USD 845 a pop, would you buy it? I'd rather go for the sleeveless tee version or the men's tshirt which is available here for 1/3 the price.
