English luxury brand Mulberry celebrated the opening of its first Asian flagship store in Singapore with a private dinner and cocktail event including a live performance from singer Lana Del Rey, the inspiration behind the Del Rey bag.
The store was officially opened by Mulberry CEO Bruno Guillon, Creative Director Emma Hill and Lana Del Rey. A little piece of Britain came to Singapore with Mulberry for the launch, ‘Queen’s guards’ stood either side of the store entrance in sentry boxes and bagpipes were played as the ribbon was cut!
Guests including Lana Del Rey, pictured below carrying a Del Rey in Ink Blue Croc Print from the Autumn Winter 2012 Collection, Joanne Peh, Marisa Wee, Tracy Phillips and Arissa Cheo, enjoyed cocktails in the new store, which was designed to reflect Mulberry’s dedication to craftsmanship and is underpinned by the notion of contrast and duality, influenced by the themes of Englishness and craft.
