Streetstyle: Crocodile bags
The upper tier of the handbag world is dominated by exotics. Luxurious and timeless, even if your budget takes a dip. Speaking from my own perspective, I used to set some sort of a timeline, regarding bags I would wear as I get older. I'm a shoe person, I'm not crazy about bags. So when it's time to invest, when I have the money, I would invest carefully and allocate the budget to spend on shoes.
When I was 12 I carried Coach and Juicy Couture, and then in two years I got my LV purse, the monogram and damier and even grew my collection to Burberry and Gucci. Basically I want logos all over my bags during that time. And then four years later I started carrying vintage Chanel, dump my logo bags. Just anything that doesn't scream brand name. When I turned 18 I fell in love with Céline. If I could buy just one brand I would only buy Céline. And last week I turned 20. And within 2 years, I promise myself I will try to slowly shift to exotics and by the time I'm 30 I can just handpick anything exotic from the shelves that matches my shoes. Sounds pretty great, no?
This is by far the most handsome mock-croc pouch/clutch that is pretty much affordable. For USD336, you can get your hands on this Givenchy medium croc-embossed pouch (as pictured above). You may also want to check out the Givenchy Antigona clutch (USD1,121).
From pouches, to totes to fold over clutches, the endless variations of the skin promise you a timeless, classic style.
Though I'm not a fan of pink, this Valentino Va Va Voom looks irresistible. What are the top 5 most coveted crocodile bags on your list? Share.
