Best Dressed: Oscars 2013

Charlize Theron was beyond stunning in this Christian Dior Couture structural gown, Harry Winston jewelry pixie hair and perfect makeup. Hands down, my favourite red carpet look of the night. When I saw this, I suddenly wondered whether it's a little too similar with Anne Hathaway's Golden Globe Chanel dress.



Also in a white hue was Jennifer Lawrence whose picture was all over the news as she trips over her Christian Dior Couture gown when she was about to accept the Best Actress Oscar. "You're just standing up because I fell over. This is so embarrassing. But thank you" that's what she addresses her standing ovation was as she accepts the Oscar.



And then when I saw Kristen Stewart hobble along the red carpet at the Oscars last night, I wonder what had she done this time. Turns out she had a 'severely cut foot on glass situation' but that doesn't stop her from topping the best dressed list in a gorgeous nude Reem Acra gown with a tulle mermaid tail finish.



Anyway here is a clearer shot of the Dior Couture gown on Charlize. Raf must be so proud.





Amy Adams was in a light blue Oscar de la Renta dress. I think she was the best person that can pull off princess-y gowns so gracefully. Maybe I think that way because she once played real-life Disney Princess Giselle in Enchanted and every now and then I still got carried away.



Anne Hathaway briefly became the talk of Twitter for her Academy Awards dress that had a little nipple wardrobe malfanction. I don't think it's fair because she looked beautiful in a rather brave choice I would say.



Sources said that she decided to wear this Prada light pink duchesse satin backless gown just three hours prior to the red carpet event. Totally obsessing over the cross-over straps and bow at the back and that sparkling necklace that drapes down her back.



Finally, let's move from pale hues to some daring colors! My favorite were Olivia Munn and Fan Bing Bing. Both in Marchesa, both picked the most memorable signature dramatic dresses for the night.







The worst dressed goes to Zoe Saldana, with her wrong accessories and horrible Roger Vivier shoes while Alexis Mabille Couture dress was too distracting with a fluffy neckline. Enough said.

Introducing: TaylorSays

Let me introduce you to my recent favorite shoe label TaylorSays, a line of statement-making high heels by Californian designer and artist Taylor Reeve. Stepping up to the podium as the next big thing in shoes, TaylorSays features exclusively crafted, everyday pumps with attention-grabbing original art on the soles that guarantees double, triple takes as you walk on by. Here is the Monarchie, a playful take on the classic peep toe pumps, featuring a mirroring butterfly on each soles.

The story behind the hand painted sole is when its founder, Taylor Reeve decorated the soles of her first pair of shoes after seeing wedding-themed heels adorned with “I Do” on its bottoms. Soles of stilettos - "the perfect real estate for my art", she thought.



Expect unique, out of this world platform stilettos with fun, fearless paintings such as lions, skulls and melons. Appealing to a variety of women’s aesthetic interests, the collection includes soft styles patterned with gingham checks for Taylor’s girly side while others such as Sharkie, which features a shark’s jaws on the toe box and tough female Captain Hook on the sole speaks of the designer’s edgier inclinations.

LFW: Trench kisses from Burberry Fall 2013

Burberry showed a collection inspired by Burberry classics and sixties beauty Christine Keeler titled ‘Trench Kisses’ from London with Love.



Apart from the fashion aspect, other highlights includes the introduction of Burberry nail polish. The shade worn by models in the show was Oxblood (red wine color), inspired by the ready-to-wear and accessories collections.



The key trends were dual-colored trenches, a heart print, translucent rubber separates, bold red and black stripes and animal print (everything from giraffe to leopard). Totally loving the look of "knickers layered under transparent rubber skirts" on Cara.



The accessories were the new 'Crush bags', sometimes wildly oversized, kitten wedges and animal print sunglasses. You can click here to view the 'Little Crush' bag in Heart Print Calfskin and Leather which can be customised with a bespoke polished metal nameplate.



Christopher Bailey better keep reinventing the stripe because we just couldn't get enough. This season they are absolutely urban chic and luxurious at the same time.




Another breakthrough this season is the smart personalization service now offered by Burberry. The creative story behind each Burberry Prorsum Autumn/Winter 2013 runway order comes to life through smart personalisation which continues Burberry’s digital evolution, putting the customer at the centre of bespoke luxury experiences.

The new Burberry Runway Made to Order service offers custom-made outerwear and bags, with personalised engraved nameplates. On contact with a touch screen device each piece unlocks a unique video experience, charting its artisan production – including original sketches, runway edits, craftsmanship and personalisation.

Anyway the Burberry Prorsum show as usual, was always a great surprise and mix of musicians and actors.



Spotted were Kate Beckinsale, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Freida Pinto, Vicki Zhao Wei, Melanie Laurent, Olivia Palermo, Douglas Booth, Callum Turner, Rita Ora, Tinie Tempah, and Victoria Pendleton.



Music has always been a major element in any Burberry fashion show. The show closed with a surprise live performance by Tom Odell. The amazing performance of the forthcoming single “Hold Me” served as the backdrop of the show finale. Other runway soundtracks includes “Picking up the pieces” by Paloma Faith and “Happy Together” by Misty Miller.

This Spring, my favorite pair is the Arnold. It's a new take on the T-strap design, featuring eye-catching neon colors and luxurious python heel. LFW: Mulberry Fall 2013

Mulberry showed its Autumn Winter 2013 collection at London Fashion Week on Sunday 17 February 2013.

The collection and show referenced rural English landscapes, nature and the flowers of England, interspersed with a rich colour palette and botanical-inspired prints. The looks embraced iconic check, bold prints, beautifully cut coats, sumptuous leather and modern tailoring, woven with the influences of English style traditions.

An installation of tangled wild flowers and a swarm of butterflies encased the entrance to Claridge’s. Framing the catwalk was a bespoke and carefully crafted floral and foliage structure that imitated a wild hedgerow, interspersed with Mulberry fruits and leaves, butterflies and a mixture of woodland flowers including bluebells, sunflowers, poppies and chrysanthemums.

















And of course there was Alexa Chung in a peacoat in black double faced twill and the Alexa in Midnight Blue Polished Buffalo Leather from the Autumn Winter '13 Collection. Lana Del Rey with her vampy makeup was in an embroidered dress, bow high heel pumps in black from the Autumn Winter '13 Collection and the super adorable Small Mulberry Del Rey in Black Ostrich.

NYFW: Michael Kors Fall 2013

Bright lights, fast city, urban athleticism meets uptown polish. Those were the watch words for Michael Kors' fall 2013 collection, presented in New York.

A mix of glamour, a luxe take on camo, perforation, and graphic dogstooth check. There were a burst of electric colors, from neon orange, taxicab yellow and royal juxtaposed with black, white, olive and charcoal. Finally the accessories this season features sleek structured bags with gleaming metallic accents, streamlined pumps and bold belts and oversized goggles.

Get her style: Bad girl Rihanna

From clubbing to red carpet, this girl is really drawing attention to her sport luxe wardrobe for nightlife and the sophisticated elegant dress on the award shows. Check it out, but let's start with her clubbing style.



My favorite look is when she wore this Givenchy Paisley Bomber Jacket (get it here for USD3560), Habitual Alice coated Skinny Jeans, and Reebok x Tyga’s T-RAWW Sneakers. Next is how she wears the Céline ID necklace and top finger rings. You can get similar styles here and here.



Next is when she partied it up at My Studio Nightclub in Hollywood in Balenciaga Resort 2012 Brick Printed Shirt, jeans, her favorite Manolo Blahnik Chaos Sandals, and a $70 OATW Collier de Chien Leather Cap which also came in the beanie version.





Now her recent look at the Grammys have made to every best-dressed list worldwide. In a sheer red custom Azzedine Alaia dress, Manolo Blahnik heels and Neil Lane diamond jewelry, she looks incredibly sultry and glamorous with matching red lips and red nails.







Finally, at the 2013 Grammys after-party in a white crop top and slit maxi skirt with a delicate gold belly chain, a fur shawl jacket, white pumps and red lips. Not only that, I'm also obsessed with her ombré hair.
