The Givenchy feline fantasy

Something to obsess over this season, all things Givenchy. When I looked at these images, I just couldn't get them out of my head. This is surreal, look at the mix of dark and vivid colors, sheer ensemble, the big hair, wrecked cars and those Rottweilers. I mean how can anyone manage to think these all would go together so intriguingly beautiful.

Moving on, in case you haven't seen it yet, here is Givenchy's latest feline themed campaign in the making.

Shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Mariacarla Boscono, Natalia Vodianova, Naomi Campbell and Kristen McMenamy sit on embellished Givenchy cushions and roar fashionably. Question now, can we buy those cushions too?

"If for the man the Rottweiler print is a king, for the woman it is the black panther which is in favour mixed with cat ears and a mauve orchid print." I've been telling people that for me, this season is about Givenchy, I think I'm really starting to get over the Céline phase. Anyway, look at these details from the runway.

The most iconic accessories of the season is indeed no other than the cat cap and the angular acetate panther glasses. The wool cap is available in Aubergine and Black, each goes for €1755 at Collette. Glasses are available in yellow, charcoal, plum, navy hues priced at US$574 each. If you like more bold and extravagant version, you can opt for trimmed version sporting black fur on the frame with a panther on each temple piece at a near US$640. Panthers glasses will be available in stores in September 2011. Boys can have dog ears, which is equally fierce. Okay last thing is the Panther belt here.

Here's for the boys. I saw it on display at their boutique in Paragon this evening so please quickly grab it before it's all gone.

  1. aah i love Givenchy, and especially this collection, its amazing, and so origional. i mean last year when all of the fall collections were coming out, it was all sort of 50's and "mad mean" sort of styles (which by the way i loved) but this is just so much more origional! :)
