Dannijo Spring 2012 Lookbook

Dannijo is the kind of jewelry that will drive you head over heels. I'm madly in love with their latest collection, especially the Capucine necklace in neon (pictured below).

To buy: Neon yellow bags

We're definitely not talking about Cambridge Satchel here. Shopping alert for Spring is the neon handbags. PurseBlog did their job in identifying the most wearable ones last month, in different neon shades. Now it's my turn to narrow them down. Out of all neon colors, I would myself opt for yellow. I mean, I like banana yellow, I like mustard, I like lime, but this season is about the fluorescent sister.



I relate to the PS1 bag so incredibly well. My friends mostly have this love and hate relationship with this bag. Some says it has been copied so much it's not funny. Some says, just forget it, you'll get bored of it before you know it, buy a Céline. I saw this particular one in real life today, and I died and went to heaven and partied hard there. Okay, now moving on, of course, a die hard Céline fan would list out the possible option for this particular color, which is no other than the box bag. This would cost a bomb, but then it's also from last Spring, which mean you will have a very difficult time to get your hands on this beauty.



Oh dear bags, please come to mama.

P.S. I was bored and I decided to look up for some lace Photoshop brushes on Google. And then attempted to do this. And I guess, somehow succeeded.

Atelier Versace Haute Couture Spring 2012

The headline was totally about Atelier Versace back to the runway since 2004. I think it's pretty much a dramatic comeback, with some heavy on corseted metallic gowns, hot orange and lime minidresses, a combination of lace, leather, crystalline sugar-granule beading, and rose motifs, such intricate futuristic detailing.





You can enjoy everything here as if it was a continuation of everything the house has always done.





















"Donatella said it was more about warriors than robots, but either way there was a glamazon confidence ingrained in all of them that was softened nonetheless by the minimal dove gray and ornate Rococo embellishments."

Color me love: Part I

I went back to Surabaya last week and scheduled a studio shoot with my photographer friend. The shoot was done very quickly, I think within one and a half hour. I couldn't think of anything other than colors when preparing the wardrobe only the night before. Did my makeup myself and I love how I can finally work the bright pink lips.



This orange skirt was tailored far back last year, when the orange Jil Sander skirt was booming. I never wore it out yet, but it looks so gorgeous when photographed here.



This yellow dress is from ASOS. I don't usually wear yellow, but I feel like it's about time to stock on something bright. The dress is brighter, more neon, in real life. Paired it with my Lanvin shoes from Spring 2011.



Do you realize that throughout the shoot I keep wearing the Balenciaga triple tour? Everyone seems to have it lately, but you can never go wrong with it, in Noir, with rose gold hardware. I'm thinking of getting my third bracelet, and apparently I can't resist the purple one from this season.





I don't wanna appear to matchy-matchy, but sometimes a girl can't help it. Okay, at least once in a while. Wearing my new favorite accessories in deep blue, the YSL Tribute Sandals, and Givenchy Antigona. More photos to come next week. Stay tuned.

Most wanted: Killer shoes

Perhaps you're in a phase of moving over the belief of "every girl needs a pair of black pumps." Yes, we already have our black pumps, be it in pointed toe, almond toe, round toe, open-toe, whatever you do have, black suede, satin, matte leather and patent. Those lucky ones might have everything in multiples too. So here is our new perspective towards shoes. Every girl needs uncountable pairs of killer shoes too. For special occasions, whenever we need a mood-booster, for the broken hearted. It's fun, and I know that girls and shoes have some sort of emotional bonding whatsoever. So this could work, for much cheaper than seeing a professional.

Manolo Blahnik himself told Harper's Bazaar, "If I had my way, sex would be long gone from my life, although I can't banish it from my shoes. Men tell me that I've saved their marriages. It costs them a fortune in shoes, but it's cheaper than a divorce. So I'm still useful, you see."

But this time, my love goes for more red soles. It's the new Christian Louboutin Lady Max 100 Spike-Embellished Metallic Leather Sandals. I can't get enough of Louboutin's glamorous take on tough chic, and these gold leather sandals are a fierce offering that won't disappoint.

The second pair, is no other than the quirky, fantastical shoes from Prada Spring 2012. Apparently they call them Jewel-Toe Flame Sandals. Start looking at the intricate rose ornament surrounded by pink jewels at open toe, then the cutout vamp detail and flame design on elasticized slingback strap. And finally, the very rare rocket booster detail at back heel you won't be able to see in any other shoe design, I would say. Available now for pre-order from Bergdorfs for $1,450.00. Karl's Kult: Lagerfeld x NET-A-PORTER

Uncle Karl, once again, did an amazing job at branding for himself. Totally unexpected, especially after Macy's. I think his NET-A-PORTER collection is so much better, far from 'auntiesque'. Look at these, the 'oh-so-chic' leather collars.





KARL is the new modern and accessible line from the house of Karl Lagerfeld. In a strategic partnership that sees NET-A-PORTER as the exclusive global retailer for 4 weeks from launch, this is an exciting new direction for the label and one that distills the iconic essence of its figurehead.





To celebrate the launch of KARL at NET-A-PORTER.COM, five pop-up Window Shops were unveiled around the globe in Paris, New York, London, Berlin and Sydney.

Dior Couture Spring 2012

It's couture season again. I was expecting for Dior to see something 'better' delivered by Bill Gayten, as he is set to design for five more seasons. Suzy Menkes described it as black and white, almost filmic. Anyway, I would say that this season is a lot less terrible than last season. It's way more beautifully coordinated, evidenced by the proportions and the transparency that was a theme throughout the entire collection. To me, it looks like it was used sparingly enough that it doesn’t distract from the elegance of the skirt.



This dress is a brilliant one, loving the 'ombre transparency'.







Still, not that impressed. But I guess, we should give him another chance to grow better. Read more about it here.

Come take a walk

I'm loving the gray and green combination on everything. I had a chance to meet my long lost friend from Melbourne last week and apparently he took a lot of wonderful photographs. Had a chance to visit one of my favorite spots in Singapore, the Singapore River.







Wearing a top from H&M and my new favorite peplum skirt from BerryBow. The skirt fits me so well, I love the shape, so I guess my petite readers should really have a look at it, plus they are currently having a Chinese New Year promotion, with shopping vouchers for purchases above RM200. And my shades are such a great buy from H&M Spring collection.

Lindsey Wixson x Terry Richardson

I was talking to my friend, Karin of Faboosh Baboosh while we were having dinner about the scandalous Terry Richardson. I went home and went to look up for his works just to keep being updated and I'd love to share these two amazing shots of Lindsey. Always my favorite pair. Lindsey's hair looks very bouncy and shiny and voluminous and so incredibly perfect here. And her attitude completed with that gap in her teeth gives her so much unique character.

Also, check out their latest shot together, this time Lindsey wears a smoking hot red lipstick.

3.1 Phillip Lim: Resort 2012

Always been admiring Phillip Lim's take on perfectly tailored pants, I fell in love again this season. I used to look up to Miroslava Duma, for looking oh-so-gorgeous in long trousers that cover her heels. Not only they elongate your legs and making you appear taller, but full-length pants in bright colors like this are on the uber-cool list for Spring.











Pantone has designated 2012 the year of bright and vibrant Tangerine Tango — a orangey-red shade.



To put it simple, this post is to give you all an extra look at tangerine, in more than 10 pieces in modern-edgy basic shapes. Dream on.
