It's the most dramatic show in New York Fashion Week up until now. To me, Oscar makes the most beautiful gowns with volume. This season, his take on the footwear clearly draws attention. This pair in silver glitter is absolutely stunning. As opposed to Louboutin with his famous toe cleavage, these pairs shown yesterday covers half the instep. I think I'm falling for this trend. But the question is, do they make legs appear shorter?
I saw so many pastels, the embroideries that were insane, and of course the perfect feminine fit. Liu Wen looks best in that bubblegum number.
These first few shots are from Nina Garcia's Tumblr, and today she's handling the twitter account for @nyfw. Do follow for some serious NYFW breaking news and updates.
Arizona, my desert queen closed the show with a ripped stocking and still managed to make everyone stunned.
Good news! Oscar de la Renta will be releasing his first collection of polishes this October. The number of colors has yet to be finalized, but it will likely be six shades. At the show the models were coated with one of three colors from his Essential Luxuries Collection out later this fall. Either the Essential Larimar (a light blue), the Essential Aubergine (a deep eggplant) or the Essential Carnation (a true red). Read more here.
