Stylish office makeover: Lauren Conrad

I came across this amazing interior design site (click here) which featured Lauren Conrad's recent office makeover. It blew me away. Everything seems to be so particularly well-thought and detailed. It's functional yet awfully pretty at the same time.

“We had to get creative with where we organized everything because we have so many samples and paperwork coming in and out,” she says. “We had to figure out a way to fit it all in there without it looking cluttered.” Lauren wanted the interiors of her offices to mimic the look and feel of her youthful label, only more streamlined and functional.

Giambattista Valli Spring 2014 Couture

“I dress real women. I don't want to make a kind of couture that is detached and distant,” said Giambattista Valli. For his sixth couture show, we can see beautiful swooshy gowns, floral print, jewel toned cobalt blue, sorbet colours, princessy everything from head to toe. It's the kind of couture that appeals to most women out there. Ultra feminine, elegant, everything looks expensive and difficult to produce.

Dior Couture Spring 2014

Raf Simons said he wanted to make couture "appeal to a person who has a different energy" when he took the job at Dior, and his Spring 2014 couture collection certainly demonstrates it. 'I see this collection as almost abstract,' said Raf Simons' of his exquisitely light and lovely fourth haute couture show for Dior.











His take on couture is thoroughly modern, from asymmetrical day dresses to heavily embroidered evening gowns. But there were a few stand-out elements here: some kind of transparent feel (sometimes that meant sheer fabric, other times it meant holes cut into the garment itself), and all of them looked very wearable.



While attending the Christian Dior show, Kate Bosworth wore a gorgeous plaid mini ensemble in shades of silver, blue and black. While plaid seems to be creeping into the red carpet as a trend this season, Kate's fabric had a bit of a sheen, adding a whisper of glamor and elegance to the otherwise simple, sleeveless silhouette.

Sequins and rockstuds

Here's my current favorite crop top for day and night from Poise24. This was when in Singapore last month, and I somehow forgotten we took these up until a few days ago. I paired it with a matching gray shorts but then I didn't want to look completely matchy-matchy with the accessories, I chose to wear a contrasting red Saint Laurent Duffle and a bright blue patent Valentino Rockstud pumps.





Anyway many of you have asked me about my 'daily' makeup products and from this shoot (first photo) basically you can see what I wear at most (on days I go with makeup).  On this blog, almost 80% of the time, I wear shades to cover my non-eye-makeup days. Just because it doesn't look good on camera if I go bare.

On days I wear eye makeup, I pretty much use eyeshadow from Urban Decay famous Naked Palette 1, first 2 colors from the right, and a dark brown color for the crease. Then I use Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner which I applied using Anna Sui eyeshadow brush. My blush has always been Nars (Gilda) or MAC (Melba). And my lipstick gotta be Tom Ford. Mulberry Chinese New Year 2014

To celebrate Chinese New Year, British luxury brand Mulberry has created gold envelopes inspired by the brand’s iconic ‘Made in England’ Willow bag, which features a detachable envelope-shaped clutch. The gold envelopes will be given out in Mulberry stores worldwide for customers to use over the Chinese New Year gift-giving period.

Mulberry has a new collection of products in sumptuous red that would make perfect treats for Chinese New Year, including the classic Bayswater, the new Bayswater Double Zip Tote, satchel icon Alexa and the vintage-inspired Small Suffolk.

On top of that Mulberry’s stores in Shanghai, Mulberry will launch ‘Postcards from Shanghai’, a second city-focused collaboration with travel and photography journal Cereal magazine, on Friday 31 January on mulberry.com.

Balenciaga Spring 2014 campaign

Shot by Steven Klein in a New York studio (not a haunted house), Daria Werbowy, wearing a pink silk gazer “Winged” dress, and leather top and matching skirt appeared in Balenciaga Spring 2014 ad campaign.







Balenciaga’s creative director, Alexander Wang, told WWD that the crawling plants and haunting shadows give “a touch of mystery and dark attraction.” “I wanted to convey a sense of strength and knowingness. Daria is definitely not naïve,” Wang said.

Bali Photo Diary

I went to Bali for New Year's with my family for a couple days. It wasn't really a fashion-y trip, I was in singlet and shorts the whole trip.

It was fun to visit textile stores, beach, cafes and the new mall by the ocean, it was such a different scene from five years ago when I went there.













For those who can't eat or just don't eat local food like suckling pig and the mixed rices, dirty duck and so forth, I really recommend you to go to Bistrot, a vintage, rustic restaurant at Seminyak. I really love the place and the food was amazing. Will definitely come back soon!

Anyway, I want to wish you and yours a very happy, healthy, and peaceful New Year 2014. Thank you for your tremendous support for the past 3 years, it has been a whole lot fun, unforgettable and inspiring years of blogging. I hope I can continue to write better articles, share more outfit and styling tips and design clever and fashion forward apparels at Poise24.

Christmas baby!

My sister came home for Christmas and we had a chance to do a shoot at VDS Photography. These Christmas themed photo shoot was not really planned, but we had so much fun during the session.



If you have noticed, I also have a new hair color, which is slightly red-brown. Anyway for this shoot, we had a chance to have our make-up done by Livia Lo (aka Lilo) who just recently launched her false lashes brand! You can view her Instagram profile @lilopurplelicious and reach her for party and bridal makeup, and to get her falsies.





Okay she doesn't know I'm posting her photos here, but I think she really looked good in these two photos and she's wearing Poise24 as well.





Finally, we'd like to wish you a Happy New Year 2014! My wishes for the coming years include traveling more, take better photographs of everything, details (food, scenery, etc. etc.) since I'm not that artsy, and to expand my brand!

The good news is that I'm opening a Poise24 concept store hopefully in mid-2014, which will be in West Surabaya. The launch date is to be confirmed, but I'm hoping for it to be in July. Please pray for us so that everything can work as planned.





And at the end of the shoot, Deasy of VDS and Lilo both came to surprise me with a birthday cake! I feel so blessed and thank you for all the support and love!
